This stylish and versatile hand-woven clutch was created in Santo Tomas Jalieza, Oaxaca. Each piece was handmade by skilled artisan women that used traditional backstrap loom techniques which have been passed down from many generations with 100% cotton.
Many of the traditional designs found on these bags are taken from pre-Hispanic Zapotec ruins such as Mitla and Monte Alban. Each of these symbols has a deep cultural meaning to the people who weave them. We are honored to share these beautiful designs with the world.
